ABSTRACT

Currently, a company’s competitiveness largely depends on how it exploits the opportunities offered by modern information technologies. The Internet of things, big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence technologies - all of this brings companies to a new level of interaction and competition, gives new opportunities to build logistics processes, adjusts supply chain management. It is common knowledge that an important factor of success in the market is information awareness, or rather possession of knowledge. The development of Internet technologies and mobile devices made it possible to register almost all events: a visit to a store, a purchase, a trip, a meeting, etc. Information about these and other events is often in free access in the form of text messages in social networks, blogs, news websites, but the problem is to find, to analyze, and to draw conclusions. Text mining tools help to solve these tasks. The article reviews the experience of using text mining tools to solve problems in management, marketing, finance spheres, discusses possible applications of text mining in logistics and supply chain management. The article describes the process, main typical text mining tasks, and reviews the functionalities of modern text mining tools.

ABSTRACT

Planning of supply chain strategic development requires considering the influence of qualitative factors of the different nature. Such strategic tasks as production and distribution network design, definition of product range, choice of transportation mode can be solved using analytical, mathematical, optimization, or simulation models. However, the problem of finding possible scenarios, identifying the causes of problematic situations and ways of their solution can not be solved using these methods, it is necessary to formalize the expert knowledge of manager about the logistic system, which is expressed by qualitative assessments and concepts. Formalization of semistructured scenarios of supply chain development based on expert knowledge is possible using cognitive maps. Cognitive map is a graph whose nodes are factors, influencing the development of the system or situation, and arcs reflect relationships of factors. Currently, the technology of cognitive mapping is actively developed and applied in economics, psychology, biology, philology and other sciences. Cognitive maps of strategic development of regions, industries, markets are developed. However, the issues of cognitive mapping of supply chains are not sufficiently researched. The article describes modern methodological recommendations on cognitive map construction. Papers on application of cognitive mapping for the decision of problems in the field of logistics and supply chain management are reviewed. The basic qualitative factors influencing strategic development of supply chains are revealed. The example of cognitive map describing strategic development of a supply chain for a natural healthy food trading network is resulted.
